Electric catamaran Schab E-Cat 10.5m

Solar catamaran 10.5m long, 3m wide, suitable for propulsion by an electric motor or internal combustion engine, with a covered deck and lockable wheelhouse, is intended for the transport of 12+1 persons and bicycles. The vessel is built on two hydrodynamic aluminum floats made of 4 mm thick sheet metal. Each of the 10m long, 0.5m wide floats has four waterproof chambers. The floats are also used for storage of accumulators and attachment of electric motors, while one backup outboard motor can be attached in the middle between the floats. The catamaran has a covered deck with a roof, on which there are 18 solar panels with a max. power 5040wp, which charge the accumulators through the regulator. The pontoon boat can be powered by two electric motors of 4kW each (8kW), or by one electric motor in the middle (max 10kW). The action radius is according to the used accumulators or navigation area from 3.5 h – 4 p.m. An alternative to the electric drive are two internal combustion engines of 25 hp each located on the stern of the floats, or built-in engines. The closing wheelhouse of dimensions 3.4x3m is covered with sandwich panels – Alubond. Plastic seats with padding were used for seating, while the number and placement is up to you. The captain’s room is lockable with sliding doors and tempered glass.
