Pontoon for sauna

The customer’s wish was to make a pontoon for his hobby – sauna. Our proposal consisted in the manufacture of a steel pontoon measuring 11.3×2.5m. The steel structure was placed on 10 plastic floats, size 1.9×1.15m, which are filled with polystyrene, due to unsinkability. The pontoon is attached to the main pontoon, where the houseboat is located, by means of an articulated bearing. Both the dashboard and the scraper were made of Siberian pine, which was heat-treated to obtain better properties and resist external weather influences.
